EcoMeter collects and organizes green product ratings and information from across the web into a simplified meta-score that helps consumers make easy and informed decisions on what green products to purchase. EcoMeter aggregates product ratings, customer reviews and corporate sustainability reports for 350,000 consumer products, across 130 databases, to produce an easy-to-understand environmental score. Available as a free browser application and mobile application, EcoMeter goes with you regardless of where you shop to deliver real-time environmental scores for your selected product(s) before you buy. EcoMeter also recommends alternative products with higher green labels if a queried product has a low environmental score.

The Carbon Challenge

Facebook Application

The Carbon Challenge is a web application that aims to build awareness for global warming and environmental degradation. The application leverages the competitive nature of eco enthusiasts on Facebook and other social networks. Users are asked to calculate their carbon footprint, build teams and challenge other friend groups to see who can reduce the most CO2 emissions. Good deeds such as walking to the store, or airing your clean laundry out to dry, earn off-set points for your team. It's fun to compete and everyone wins. The carbon challenge leader board can be viewed on EnviroSpeak.tv after which users are encouraged to explore environmental videos, blogs and photos and network with like-minded eco enthusiasts from around the world.
